Churches Tourism Association

The Churches Tourism Network Wales seeks to support all Christian Churches in Wales, to encourage access to places of worship, and to advance education through providing increased and better managed access (physical and intellectual) for the public to church buildings.

CTNW can offer churches advice on safety and security (conducting a safety and security audit), presentation of the building, producing literature (guide books etc)

It can also help with developing partnerships (with other attractions, local council, tourism groups, tourism operators), and funding.

Also ideas about: 

• how the church building can speak more clearly of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
• using the church for other activities.
• making  your church more interesting for visitors.
• developing a “trail”
• encouraging giving from visitors
• different events that could be held in the church
• examples of good practice from other areas of Wales and the UK
