CoRE is a totally independent, ecumenical body supporting the churches and associated Christian bodies within the walls of York City Centre. Since their inception in 2006, CoRE has developed activities and literature to encourage visitors to come and appreciate the heritage and social history of the city centre churches. The term visitor has always been viewed in the broadest sense and local residents who are not members of church congregations have been as welcome as York’s day visitors and tourists. CoRE’s success has helped develop relationships with the city’s public sector organisations and regional tourism partners. Website: www.coreyork.org
