Treasures Revealed West Yorkshire is a 3-year multi-faith Heritage Lottery Fund-backed project aiming to open up places of worship to inspire and attract residents and visitors to experience and celebrate West Yorkshire’s vibrant faith heritage. The project has engaged over 150 participant faith communities in festivals and faith trails, as well as delivering Welcome Host visitor care, and Accessing Local Media courses to over 100 trainee volunteers. Deliberately involving established and fledgling local faith partnerships has helped them to build their own profile and to make the festivals and trails self-sustaining, as places of worship of all faiths have discovered the value and joy of working together.
